BITUMEN PENETRATION 20/30
Paving grade Bitumen Penetration 20/30 is the hardest paving grade bitumen offered by RAHA OIL. Its high softening point and high sensitivity to low-temperature cracks renders it recommendable solely for the binder and base courses of high-stiffness modulus asphalt concrete in regions with suitable climate. Courses with penetration 20-30 should not be left over the winter period without being covered with the next course. Additionally, for main roads, in WT-2 part I of 2014 are given special requirements and climate zones where specific types of binders (paving grade 20/30 or polymer modified) are used in AC EME.
APPLICATION OF ASPHALT 20/30
Bitumen penetration 20-30 is suitable for road construction and repair for the asphalt pavements with superior properties. This type of bitumen used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses.
PROPERTIES OF PENETRATION GRADE 20/30
Bitumen Penetration 20/30 supplied by RAHA OIL. is pure petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from vacuum bottom by passing hot air. The bitumen supplied by RAHA OIL is produced from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade 20/30 has penetration between 20~30 desi-millimeter and the softening point between 55~ 63 C. The penetration grade bitumen 20/30 has a thermoplastic property which is like synthetic resin material which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Penetration grade Bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The temperature-vs-stiffness relationship of bitumen is dependent on the source of crude oil and the method of refining. Bitumen Penetration 20/30 is hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving Bitumen Penetration 20/30 suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specifications.

STORAGE AND HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS
- Store in unop Storage and Handling Recommendations: ened containers. Storage temperature limits
- 1°C – 50°C, for normal operations, such as blending and transferring liquid bitumen, temperatures
- Of 10°C – 40°C above the Minimum pumping temperature are recommended.
PACKING OF PENETRATION 20/30
Paving Bitumen Penetration 20/30 is commonly packed in new steel drums, 150, 180 & 220 Kg barrels and 1MT and 500Kg Jumbo Bags or 300kg Bitubag. Likewise, the rest of the grades are ready to load Ex-work bulk RAHA OIL Bitumen by truck.
