DESCRIPTION OF PENETARTION 35/50
Bitumen Penetration 35/50 is a standard penetration grade Bitumen usually used as a Paving Grade Bitumen suitable for road construction and for the production of asphalt pavements with superior properties. This grade of Bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Penetration Grade Bitumen supplied by RAHA OIL is petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from fractional / vacuum distillation of crude oil. The Bitumen supplied by RAHA OIL is produced from vacuum residue (short residue) feedstock. Penetration Grade bitumen are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The designation is by penetration range only. The penetration grade bitumen have a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. This unique temperature/ viscosity relationship is important when determining the performance parameters such as the adhesion, rheology, durability and application temperatures of bitumen. Bitumen Penetration 35/50 is manufactured with selected crude oils inefficient production processes that are undertaken in accordance with quality management standards EN ISO 9001. USES OF PENETRATION 35/50
Bitumen Penetration 35/50 is very high performance in terms of resistance to aging, plasticity and behaviour at low temperatures, is employed to produce bituminous mixes constituting flexible structure for the paving of roadways, runways, pavement, track race and landing platform Paving grade bitumen, often referred to as bitumen penetration 35/50, is a penetration grade of bitumen that is used in the building and maintenance of highways. This grade of bitumen is considered to be of a medium-to-hard hardness. This grade of bitumen is used the vast majority of the time in the production of hot mix asphalt, which is utilized for bases and wearing courses, respectively. Bitumen Penetration 35/50 is one of the most prevalent grades of bitumen, and it is employed as a vital component in the creation of all other bituminous products.
PROPERTIES OF ASPHALT 35/50
Bitumen Penetration 35/50 supplied by RAHA OIL is pure petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from vacuum bottom by passing hot air. The bitumen supplied by RAHA OIL is produced from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade 35/50 has penetration between 35~50 desi-millimeter and the softening point between 50~ 58 C. The Bitumen Penetration 35/50 has a thermoplastic property which is like synthetic resin material which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Penetration grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The temperature-vs-stiffness relationship of bitumen is dependent on the source of crude oil and the method of refining. Bitumen penetration grade 35/50 is hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specifications.
SOFTENING POINT AND PENETRATION OF ASPHALT 35/50
Asphalt 35-50 is made from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade bitumen 30/40 has penetration between 35~50 desi-millimeter and softening point between 55 ~ 63C. Bitumen 35/50, like synthetic resin, has thermoplastic properties which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Much stronger viscosity distinguished this type of bitumen from the rest.
APPLICATION OF ASPHALT GRADE 35/50
The Bitumen penetration grade 35/50 is a semi-hard grade, with penetration between 35 and 50. Which is mostly used in road construction, asphalt pavement, and manufacturer of hot-mix asphalt. The penetration bituminous asphalt with high penetration numbers which are soft, mostly used in cold weather conditions and hard bituminous asphalt (low penetration number) can be used for warm weather conditions.
