PACKING, STORAGE, AND HANDLING OF SS-1H

  • Storage: SS-1h should be stored in bulk tanks, preferably in a vertical position to minimize the exposed surface area. It is important to prevent freezing or boiling of the emulsion, as it can cause the emulsion to break. Maintain a safe storage temperature ranging from 10°C (50°F) to 85°C (185°F).
  • Mixing: In bulk storage, it is recommended to mix the SS-1h every 1 to 2 weeks, especially in colder weather conditions. Mixing can be performed using a paddle agitator (at a slow speed), loose gear pump, slow centrifugal pump, or any other suitable low shear pump. Avoid bubbling air through the emulsion for agitation, as this can lead to excessive foam formation and potential emulsion breakage.
  • Container cleanliness: Always use clean storage containers for SS-1h. Ensure that any previous contents of the containers are compatible with SS-1h to prevent emulsion breakage.
  • Sampling: Use approved and sealed containers specifically designed for sampling the emulsion. This helps maintain the integrity of the emulsion during the sampling process.
