Bitumen Penetration 50/70
DESCRIPTION OF BITUMEN BITUMEN 50/70
Bitumen Penetration 50/70 supplied by RAHA OIL is petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from fractional / vacuum distillation of crude oil.bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The designation is by penetration range only. The penetration grade bitumen has a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. If you are more interested in product information or need to place an order contact or inquire our Sales team. The Bitumen mode is dependent on temperature. The temperature-vs-stiffness relationship of bitumen is dependent on the type of crude oil and its refining method. Bitumen penetration grade 50-70 is semi hard penetration grade bitumen used as a paving grade bitumen which is suitable for road. It is also used for the production of asphalt pavements . This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacturing of hot mix asphalt for bases and wearing courses. Bitumen 50/70 is one of the most used bitumen grades and it’s a basic material for all other bituminous products.
PROPERTISE OF BITUMEN GRADE 50/70
Bitumen Penetration 50/70 supplied by our company is pure petroleum grade bitumen, manufactured from vacuum bottom by passing hot air. The bitumen supplied by our company is produced from remain of crude oil after cracking and removing hydrocarbon. Penetration grade bitumen 50-70 has penetration between 50~70 desi-millimeter and the softening point between 46~ 54 C. The penetration grade 50-70 has a thermoplastic property which is like synthetic resin material which gets softer with heating and hardens when cooled. Penetration grade bitumens are specified by the penetration and softening point test. The temperature-vs-stiffness relationship of bitumen is dependent on the source of crude oil and the method of refining. Bitumen penetration grade 50/70 is hard penetration grade bitumen using as paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and repair also for the production of asphalt pavements with below technical specifications.
APPLICATION OF BITUMEN GRADE 50/70
The bitumen penetration grade 50-70 is a semi-hard penetration grade, with penetration between 50 and 70. Which is mostly used in road construction, asphalt pavement, and manufacturer of hot-mix asphalt. The penetration bituminous asphalt with high penetration numbers which are soft, mostly used in cold weather conditions and hard bituminous asphalt (low penetration number) can be used for warm weather conditions.
DIFFERENT PRODUCTION METHODS OF BITUMEN 50/70
1. Vacuum Distillation: This method involves subjecting the crude bitumen to high temperatures under vacuum conditions. The bitumen is heated and vaporized, and then condensed to separate it into different fractions based on their boiling points. The desired fraction for Bitumen 50/70 is collected and further processed.
2. Solvent Extraction: In this method, a solvent such as propane or butane is used to extract the bitumen from the crude oil. The solvent is mixed with the crude oil, and the bitumen is separated from the other components through a series of separation processes. The extracted bitumen is then further processed to achieve the desired grade.
3. Blending: Another method of producing Bitumen 50/70 is by blending different grades of bitumen. This involves mixing bitumen with different penetration grades to achieve the desired penetration range of 50-70 dmm. The blending process may also involve adding additives or modifiers to enhance the properties of the final product.
4. Oxidation: Bitumen can also be produced by oxidizing heavy crude oil or distillation residues. This process involves heating the crude oil or residues at high temperatures in the presence of air or oxygen. The oxidation reaction transforms the heavy hydrocarbons into bitumen with the desired properties.
It’s important to note that each method has its advantages and disadvantages in terms of efficiency, cost, and environmental impact. Manufacturers may choose the most suitable method based on their specific requirements and available resources.
GURANTY AND SAFETY OF PENETRATION 50/70
Our company guaranty the quality of Bitumen Penetration 50/70 with the arrangement of the international inspectors to check the quality and quantity of the bitumen penetration grade 50-70 during the loading to the vessel and controlling the production by QC by batch test report before shipping. our company guarantees that the Penetration 50/70 is produced in compliance and conformity to International of European Standard DIN EN 12591:99, also meets the requirements of the following specification.
